About These Recordings
Â
Milton H. Erickson
Milton H. Erickson MD is widely recognized as one of the 20th Century’s most influential figures in psychotherapy and hypnosis, and one of its most remarkable healers.
Toward the end of his life, confined to a wheelchair and suffering a relapse of polio, he gave a series of long (2 week) seminars to doctors, therapists and scholars at his home in Phoenix. In these seminars he related his cases, demonstrated hypnotic techniques, and told his “teaching stories”. In addition to his teachings, his presence and “unconscious communication” techniques had life changing impact on many who attended. By the time Erickson died, the waiting list to attend one of these seminars was over a year long.
One of these seminars was captured on video by New York therapist, Jane Parsons-Fein in the Fall of 1979. Erickson died just months later.
All products on this site are derived from the original VHS video recordings of that seminar, and are distributed here with kind permission from The Milton Erickson Foundation.
